FETE HOME AMBASSADOR / A Style Icon We've Chosen To Represent Our Tabletop Collection
For us, Instagram is not only a source of inspiration, but a tool to connect with other like-mind, tabletop obsessed people. We’re thrilled to meet @ciaofabiana and even more excited to partner with her on a Autumn Tea Party table. A lover of decorating, fashion, tablescapes, entertaining, cooking, photography, organic gardening, and her home state of California, Fabiana has masterfully been creating her blog since 2011. We love that her Italian and Argentinian roots shine through all that she does!
Fabiana is adept at mixing new finds and vintage treasures. For our Autumn-inspired Tea Table, she mixed vintage transferware cups and saucers with our Wayfarer Tablecloth and Eloquence Napkins. Fabiana kept the dinnerware simple, to highlight the mixed and matched patterns of the table linens. She brought in natural elements in the woven chargers and bamboo flatware. The Dahlias, mums, roses and daisies accentuate the beautiful colors in the tablecloth. Read on for more about Fabiana’s table and some of her entertaining tips and tricks and be sure to checkout Fabiana's blog too.
Fete Home: What’s the first thing you consider when hosting a party?
Fabiana Reese: After I figure out the party list and menu, I always have a little bit of a theme I come up with for a party or gathering. It could be a color theme, a holiday theme or just a fun over-the top combination of several themes.
Fete Home: What’s always in your fridge? Are you always party-ready?
Fabiana Reese: Yes, I think I’m always party-ready. I do a lot of cooking, and it’s important for me to have lots of food staples in my fridge and pantry. So, something I’d pull out for unexpected guests are olives, almonds, chocolate covered nuts, cheeses, crackers, and fruit. It’s so easy to arrange them on a pretty platter in no time at all.
Fete Home: What are you most inspired by?
Fabiana Reese: I’m really inspired by beautiful tableware and unique ways to combine them. I really love mixing gorgeous new items with treasured heirlooms or vintage finds.
Fete Home: What’s your go-to hostess gift?
Fabiana Reese: I love to collect vintage vases, so an easy go-to hostess gift for me to put together is a pretty little floral arrangement. I can personalize it especially for my hostess and sometimes I sneak in some of my favorite garden flowers with store bought blooms.
Fete Home: What’s the inspiration for today’s table?
Fabiana Reese: My inspiration for today’s table was to celebrate the start of the fall season. I combined the Wayfarer Tablecloth and the Eloquence Napkins in a fun festive autumn table. Mini white pumpkins bring in that fall flair and what more perfect vessel for them than vintage transferware tea cups?
Fete Home: What’s your favorite item in this Fete Home collection?
Fabiana Reese: I’m crushing big time on the blue and white Backgammon set! It’s at the top of my Christmas list.
Fete Home: What are your tips for creating a stylish table setting?
Fabiana Reese: For me it’s all about how patterns interplay with each other. It creates a certain vibrancy at the table.
Fete Home: What 3 movies would you bring with you to a desert island?
Fabiana Reese: Three of my all-time favorite movies are Moonstruck, Casablanca and Beauty and the Beast. I guess I’m a true romantic at heart!
Fete Home: If you could have any super power what would it be?
Fabiana Reese: One super power that I’d love to have is time-travel. New York during the roaring 20’s sounds amazing.
Fete Home: What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
Fabiana Reese: I’m a rule-follower, so if someone else blatantly doesn’t follow through with something, I have a hard time with it.
