Fete Home: What's Your Inspiration for Today's Table?

Julianne Taylor: This year I’m really inspired by the traditional Christmas colors of red and green. I’ve done pink, blue, and other colors in the past, but I’m really into red and green this year. I also love to throw in some whimsy to my table settings, and these colorful nutcrackers were a great way to add a fun element.

Fete Home: What's you favorite item in this Fete Home collection?

Julianne Taylor: I absolutely adore the antique glass candlesticks in various sizes. They look sooo expensive, and the glow they create when you light the tapers is soft and beautiful.

Fete Home: What are your tips for creating a stylish table setting?

Julianne Taylor: Every time I set a table for guests, I always think about ways that I can make them feel special. Whether it’s a gift or a hand written place card-- little touches set the tone for what’s in store when guests arrive. For this holiday setting, I included a sweet treat of Ghirardelli chocolate for guests to slide into their purse or pocket to take home.

Fete Home: What's the first thing you consider when hosting a party?

Julianne Taylor: My first thought is whether it will be casual or a fancy affair and if kids are invited.

Fete Home: Why do you love to entertain?

Julianne Taylor: Entertaining is a great way to invite people into your home to connect and invest in those personal relationships.

Fete Home: What's always in your fridge? Are you always party-ready?

Julianne Taylor: My fridge always has brie, manchego, or some sort of cheese and my pantry is always stocked with crackers and special honey for quick nibbles if neighbors drop by.

Fete Home: What's your go-to hostess gift?

Julianne Taylor: I love to gift a pretty scented candle or a hostess gift. Everyone can use candles, and I love to gift ones that are beautifully packaged.

Fete Home: With a limited budget to spend on party decor, what's the most important thing you would buy?

Julianne Taylor: Something to make a beautiful centerpiece and candles. Even if the rest of your decorations are sparse, a beautiful centerpiece can really elevate your table scape. AND-- candles make everything glow, which creates a pretty backdrop for a special time with friends & family.

Fete Home: What do you love about what you do for a living?

Julianne Taylor: I love that my career has so much variety. Every work day is different, and I still pinch myself sometimes that I get to earn a living doing something I absolutely love.

Fete Home: What are you most inspired by?

Julianne Taylor: I am incredibly inspired by fashion. Color combinations and details that I see walking down the runway always get my brain churning with ideas.
